Under the name Central Florida Urology Specialists, 17 of our area's most talented urologists have joined forces to effectively and thoroughly care for their patients.

For others, it may be concern over keeping the spark in the private moments of their marriage. And for men and women alike, the pure fear of a moment of incontinence that can ruin an evening out or a work day.

Last year, seven well-respected urologists in Ocala joined with 10 others in Citrus and Lake counties to form Central Florida Urology Specialists. With nine offices, including five in Ocala and a comprehensive new center in The Villages, CFUS doctors combine long-standing relationships with their patients with the newest technology available.

When prostate cancer is diagnosed, CFUS offers a full range of choices to the patient. For some patients, robotic surgery is the best alternative. Fortunately for these patients, four members of the CFUS group perform this procedure in Ocala and are among the most experienced robotic surgeons in the country. If radiation therapy is the answer, CFUS established the Central Florida Prostate Cancer Center to offer treatment exclusively for prostate and related cancers with specialized technical staff and a board-certified radiation oncologist. This allows for continuous treatment in one location and full communication between doctors.

CFUS also treats prostate enlargement (BPH) with laser and drug therapies, erectile dysfunction (ED) using many alternatives that are tailored to the patient’s individual needs, kidney stones, and a wide range of urinary health concerns.

Although urologists are typically thought of as physicians that specialize in men’s health, the board-certified members of CFUS also treat women for such medical issues as stress incontinence, acute and chronic infections, kidney stones, and maintaining good bladder and kidney function.

CFUS consists of Drs. Edward King and Paul Jo of Ocala, Associates for Urology Care (Drs. Paulk, Taub, Dersch, Rao, and Cunningham), Lake Urology Associates (Drs. Shami, Sanders, Brunetti, and Sher), and Citrus Urology Associates (Drs. Stringer, Desai, Desautel, Seneriz, Zelneronok, and Kumar). Offices are located in Ocala, The Villages, Leesburg, Tavares/Eustis, Inverness and Homosassa.
