Love Where You Live

A new standard for assisted living serving The Villages.

- Thursday, July 29, 2010

Lexington Park brings unparalleled quality to assisted living in The Villages area. The new community, opening in October, offers residents the widest range of assisted living care in Central Florida.

Spacious apartment-style units ease the transition to an assisted living community and welcome residents into a home for the next chapter of their lives. Lexington Park features beautifully landscaped courtyards, fine dining, a library, theater, putting green, and pub. Apartments include granite counter tops, vaulted ceilings, and a kitchenette, with meticulous housekeeping and linen service.

Amenities also include a business center, private examination rooms for on-site physician visits, physical therapy facilities, beauty salon, demonstration kitchen, and a full program of recreational and intellectual enrichment.

“Lexington Park is unique because it permits residents to age in a luxurious home-like environment and take advantage of extended care services. This provides residents an attractive and stimulating lifestyle despite changes in health,” says Peder Johnsen, chief executive of Concordis Senior Living. In addition to Lexington Park, Concordis owns and operates seven assisted living communities in Central Florida.

Lexington Park will be licensed for extended congregate care, which includes a wide array of nursing services that enable residents to stay in assisted living longer than in conventional assisted living communities.

“Extended congregate care gives our residents the opportunity to live more independent and fulfilling lives in a luxury apartment when they might otherwise need to move into a nursing home,” Johnsen says.

Lexington Park has 89 apartments and includes a memory-care unit as well as a physical therapy clinic. Phase II of Lexington Park will include independent living units, providing even greater lifestyle choices. A skilled nursing facility under separate ownership is scheduled for construction on the campus.

Concordis Senior Living communities are noted for their caring and responsive staff members, exceptionally well-maintained buildings, and warm atmosphere.

Says resident Enes Trifiletti, “It’s home to me. The staff treats me just like family.”
