Compassionate Care For The Community

Christian Oraedu, MD, FACS, FASCRS, FRCS, brings knowledge, experience and compassion to Ocala’s medical community.

No matter the problem, Dr. Oraedu tailors treatment options to each patient individually. He has dedicated a division of his practice to bowel control for elderly patients with fecal incontinence and rectal prolapse.

Fellowship trained and board certified in both general surgery and colon and rectal surgery, Dr. Oraedu offers an array of procedures in-office and can perform robotic and laparoscopic surgeries for patients with colon/rectal cancer and other problems to help them recover quicker with less pain.

For patients with hemorrhoids, Dr. Oraedu does minimally invasive procedures that don’t require surgery and don’t require time off from work, things like infrared laser treatment, banding of hemorrhoids and Doppler-guided procedures.

As one of the only specialists in the region, he also performs one procedure only done in a few places nationwide, called transanal minimally invasive surgery (TAMIS). It avoids more painful surgeries or colostomies for patients with rectal cancer or large polyps.

More than anything, Dr. Oraedu is dedicated to providing his patients with compassionate, personal care when they need it most.

“The greatest honor one human being can bestow on another is to entrust them with their life in their greatest moment of need. The least a surgeon can do in return is exhibit diligence, skill and, above all, compassion.”
