DESCRIPTION:Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club is set to sponsor and host the Fourth Annual Furball Fundraiser — on Saturday\, February 23rd\, at 6 p.m. at 8300 NW 31st Lane Road — by VOCAL (Voices Of Change Animal League). \nWith a play on Mardi Gras\, the “Mardi Paws-“ themed event will prompt funds for VOCAL’s programs that support spay/neuter\, pet rescue and outreach. \nTickets to the black-tie-optional Furball Fundraiser are $125\, and with only a few dozen seats remaining\, must be purchased in advance at VocalForPets.org. In February 2018\, the sold-out night raised $146\,300 for the community’s homeless pets. \n“VOCAL was founded in 2015\, and in four short years\, we’ve worked towards solving pet overpopulation with four components — prevention\, education\, adoption and collaboration. With the support of the animal-loving community\, especially Golden Ocala\, we’re able to focus our programs on all those channels at once\,” said Lauren Carpenter\, Vice President and Co-founder of VOCAL. “It’s support from the community that allows us to continue our lifesaving work.” \nFor more information\, visit VocalForPets.org or call (352) 289-0800. \nAbout Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club:\nGolden Ocala is a 1\,200-plus-acre destination of championship golf and tennis\, a world-class equestrian center\, luxury living\, and much more — packaged into a one-of-a-kind gated community and located among the rolling hills of North Central Florida\, otherwise known as Horse Country. Over the last 5 years\, Marion County’s intake rate of homeless animals has been twice the national average. It’s facts like these that drive VOCAL to make Marion County a better place for its pets through their programs focused on adoption\, prevention\, education and collaboration. SUMMARY:A Night at The Opry presented by Johnny Wild & The Delights
DESCRIPTION:Johnny Wild and the Delights are back on the big stage with yet another of their acclaimed and adventurous theme shows. This time\, they’re taking you all the way back to Nashville in the early 1950’s & 60’s with A Night At The Opry\, a celebration of all things classic country. Along with a barnful of hits from Opry staples such as Dolly Parton\, Loretta Lynn\, Willie Nelson\, Marty Robbins and Roy Acuff\, you’ll enjoy authentic tribute performances from Johnny Cash\, Kitty Wells\, Patsy Cline and the King of Country Music himself\, Hank Williams\, all live and in living color. Expanding on their already loaded arsenal\, the Delights add pedal steel and fiddle to the stage to flesh out the sounds of the era\, breathing new life into the music in the same way they have with early rock ’n roll and pop. Even the most casual of country music fans will appreciate Johnny’s energetic and authentic take on these classic tunes. Come on down and enjoy a good ol’ fashioned hand-clappin’\, foot-stompin’\, barn-raisin’ Night At The Opry with everyone’s favorite vintage rockers\, Johnny Wild and the Delights!

SUMMARY:GRIT Strength Challenge
DESCRIPTION:The GRIT Strength Challenge is a team-based strength & fitness challenge utilizing primitive objects that were available during the Florida Seminole War period of 1817 thru 1858. Think of it as a combination of strongman\, Highland Games\, and CrossFit with logs and barrels! This event will take place March 1-2\, 2019. \nThe event location for the Grit Strength Challenge will be the newly restored Fort King National Landmark in Ocala\, Florida\, site of the start of the 2nd Seminole War. This is an entirely outdoor event. \nThis will be a unique competition and is designed so all fitness levels can participate. Teams will be challenged to move objects over a distance similar to what would have been used during the 1800’s: Logs\, barrels\, sandbags and more will be used to test your team. \nAre you strong enough to survive\, do you have the GRIT\, nerve\, and stamina to make it home in one piece? \nWill you defend your honor on the battlefield\, or whimper back alone? \nChallenge your self against the legacy of the soldiers of Fort King\, on the same land they stood\, fought\, and were tested. \nAre you brave enough? \nSign up and find out!

SUMMARY:Dressage Summit: Two Worlds Together Parelli\, Hess\, Lucio
DESCRIPTION:This special event is March 1-3\, 2019 at the Florida Horse Park in Ocala\, FL. As a ticket holder\, you’re a part of the movement that is bringing Two Worlds of Training together—Horse Psychology and Classical Dressage. A personal passion of Linda’s\, because we can learn so much from each other. \nWe are excited to have world experts Christoph Hess (FEI “I” Judge in both Dressage and Eventing\, and former Head of Instruction and Personal Members Department at the German National Federation) and Luis Lucio (FEI Committee Trainers Delegate\, Chef d’quip of the Spanish Team and 18 years of Parelli!) and of course Pat and Linda Parelli (Equine Psychology Expert)\, with our top horses and additional special guests. \nThis mission started when Linda met Pat in 1989\, but it became a reality when she started training with Walter Zettl 12 years ago. We ran our first Dressage Summit in Wellington\, FL in 2011 and the next in Verden\, Germany in 2014. And now its time for the 3rd… in Ocala in March 2019! \nIt is going to be a fantastic event looking at the training of horses and humans from a whole different perspective\, with happy horses and harmony as the goal.

SUMMARY:Blood\, Sweat & Tears
DESCRIPTION:It’s been more than four decades since drummer/producer Bobby Colomby and friends assembled the first group to successfully blend rock and jazz into a genre-crossing sound and style. So successfully in fact\, that the band’s second album\, Blood\, Sweat & Tears\, topped the Billboard charts for many weeks and beat out the Beatles’ Abbey Road for the prestigious Album of the Year Grammy award. That album produced three major hit singles: “You Made me so Very Happy\,” “Spinning Wheel\,” and “And When I Die.” But now Colomby is looking for much more as he develops Blood Sweat & Tears into a contemporary voice\, one that reaches beyond a single\, nostalgic audience. “I no longer want to target just one generation. That would be a mistake. With this updated version\, I want this band to gain recognition with a wider audience. I want people of all ages to experience what this music has to offer.
