Mardi Gras themed Holiday Charity Ball

R.A.M.A.L. Educational and Social Services, Inc., hosted a unique fundraiser on Dec. 28, 2024, at the Mary Sue Rich Community Center at Reed Place in Ocala.

Proceeds from the evening went to support programs R.A.M.A.L. partners with or supports, including Kut Different, the ROCK Program, the Marion County Boys & Girls Club and the Estelle Byrd Whitman Wellness Center.

“This isn’t just another fundraiser; it’s a celebration of community, culture and compassion. What sets this event apart is its unique blend of festive entertainment and collective impact,” said event host Barbara J. Brooks, Ph.D., president of R.A.M.A.L.

The event included entertainment by Phillip “Jazz Man” Thomas & Band and DJ Casey Heathman, a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle and gift card drawings, contests for the most imaginative mask and umbrella and a meal crafted by Southern Faire.
