Welcome to the “new” Taverna Red in Summerfield! Owner Kathy Funk of Pasta Faire Ristorante in Belleview has transformed the space where Isabella’s Ristorante used to be with a Mediterranean wine cellar décor complete with a U-shaped bar, copper ceiling, ornate Corinthian columns, and full-wall murals. The food is the true star of the show here. Appetizers such as the Adobo Shrimp Cocktail, Crispy Calamari, and Creole Crab Cake are large enough to serve as small entrées, and dinner selections include Saffron and Garlic Marinated Grilled Chicken, Mustard and Herb Crusted Pork Tenderloin, Citrus Baked Salmon, and Beef Tenderloin with Grilled Shrimp. The menu also features burgers and sandwiches as well as desserts like the Triple Chocolate Torte, Key Lime Pie, and Crème Brûlée.
