Ocala Style December ’19

As we round the corner on 2019 and head into a bright new year, our December issue is full of ideas for holiday decorating, entertaining and ways to ring out the year in high style.

For our do-it-yourself fans, local designers Suzanne Rice, Yohanna “Joy” Alvarez-Giboyeaux, April Rose, Jill Brown and David Gadlage went all out in creating fabulous holiday décor presentations, with tips on how to make them your own.
There are lots of sentimental special events coming up that offer fun for the whole family, such as Symphony Under the Lights and the Ocala/Marion County Christmas Parade. We give you a glimpse behind-the-scenes into what it takes to produce these beloved holiday events.

This edition shines a spotlight on several locals who are at the top of their game, including the Cobbs family and their magnificent Grandview Clydesdales; the Baldwin family and their renowned Black Angus cattle; the Ocala Symphony Orchestra’s multi-talented Margaret Dixon, who serves as second horn, personnel manager and librarian; and Dr. Nathan Mitts, who not only is noted in veterinary circles nationwide, but cooks up a spectacular meals in his spare time.

Read exclusive end-of-year wrap-ups from administrators with the city of Ocala, Marion County and the Ocala/Marion County Chamber and Economic Partnership, as they outline the tremendous growth in the area in 2019 and highlight what to expect in 2020 and beyond.
