Change is good, especially for Dr. Ashley Cauthen.

MidState Skin recently opened a second office on Ocala’s southwest side to better accommodate patients.

“It is a beautiful office,” she says, “and I am so proud of how it has grown.”

But that’s not the only improvement coming to MidState Skin. Dr. Cauthen is also proud to announce physician Dr. Chrissy Mitchell will be joining the team at the Jasmine location beginning in July.

“She has been an attending physician at UF for the last eight years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our practice,” Dr. Cauthen says.

And if you’re preparing for your first appointment, Dr. Cauthen has some pointers.

“Relax. A thorough dermatology exam can feel intimidating because patients often get insecure about undressing. Truth is, we all come in different shapes and sizes, and it’s nothing to be embarrassed about.”

FunFact

Dr. Cauthen has a new member of her family! “I recently surrendered to the requests of my kids, and we got our first puppy, Roxy. She loves coming to work with me, so you’ll probably catch a glimpse of her when you’re in the office.”
