OEU serves over 50,000 customers and employs 123 area residents. For over 120 years, OEU has made it possible for residents of Ocala to own and control its power. OEU is one of 34 public power utilities in Florida, collectively serving more than 1.3 million customers and employing 5,400 Floridians.
In celebration, Ocala Electric Utility will be hosting a Customer Appreciation Day on Friday, Oct. 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Citizens’ Circle, 151 SE Osceola Ave.
To show appreciation for our customers, OEU will be providing catering by the Mojo Grill and Catering Company, which will be available on a first come, first served basis. This free event will also include entertainment, family-friendly activities, as well as rides in OEU’s bucket trucks. Educational items and giveaways will also be available while supplies last.
