When 8-year-old Shula turns up alone in a rural Zambian village, the locals are suspicious. A minor incident escalates to a full-blown witch trial where she is quickly found guilty and sentenced to a state-run witch camp. As the days pass, Shula begins to settle into her new community, but a threat looms on the horizon that forces a difficult decision. This is a satirical and provocative film by Zambian-born director Rungago Nyoni. It is her first feature film. In English, Nyanja and Tonga with English subtitles.
