Raw & Resilient: A night of poetry & art

A night of Poetry and Art created by artists affected by cancer. Join us as we gather by the fireplace, for spoken word poetry readings and a display of local artist’s works.
Reception begins 6pm with light Hor Douerves.
Poetry Readings begin at 7:00.

Call to Poets & Artists: If you have an interest sharing your writings about your experiences with cancer, you are invited to participate in this evening’s event. Each artist is asked to keep reading from 3 – 5 minutes in length. Please limit your readings from 1 – 2 poems. *We ask you take into consideration that this is a family friendly event when choosing your art/writings and hope you will feel welcomed to invite them to participate, share or support you at this event.

New to this: If you are new, please consider participating. We can request a professional volunteer to do the reading for you if you are feeling uneasy, but we would love for you to come and be a part of the night. And we hope it will feel encouraging, supporting and inviting.

Topic: Poetry and art submitted should reflect or incorporate the theme of Resilience as it relates to your cancer/caregiver journey.
