Sons of Mystro with BB Rudeoff: Levitt AMP Ocala Music Series

The 2019 Levitt AMP Ocala Music Series presents Sons of Mystro with opening act BB Rudeoff on Friday, May 31 from 6 – 9 p.m. at Webb Field at the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Complex.
The performance is free. Please bring your chairs and blankets. Food is available from a select food truck as well as from the Summer BreakSpot program. Beer and wine will also be available for purchase. Visit local vendors and have fun at the Ocala Recreation and Parks recreation vehicle.

SONS OF MYSTRO
Born in South Florida to a Jamaican father and Barbadian mother, Malcolm, 23, and his 20-year old brother Umoja learned to play violin through South Florida’s public-school system and attended Dillard High School for the Performing Arts. Together, these brothers are Sons of Mystro. They use their violins to interpret reggae classics, American pop songs and their own creations accompanied by beats, and sometimes a DJ & guitarist. They are winners of the Emerging Artist under 21yrs Old award at IRAWMA (International Reggae and World Music Awards). Debut EP coming in 2019. Mentored by Black Violin, these artists’ stars are on the rise.
Since being formed as a group, in June of 2010, Sons of Mystro has performed at a variety of events such as “Keys to the City” ceremonies most notably honoring international recording artist, Wyclef Jean and celebrity sisters, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, ESPN/BCS Championship Party. They have opened for The Fray, Dennis Edwards and the Temptations Revue and Sean Paul amongst others. They’ve performed at SunFest, and at the 8th Annual Jazz in The Gardens alongside notable R&B and Jazz acts such as Najee, Fantasia, Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, Charlie Wilson, New Edition, Monica, Neyo, Earth, Wind and Fire. BB RudeOff is a Singer/Songwriter/Lyricist from Ocala, FL. She has been singing and performing all her life and she writes to inspire the world to enlighten individuals toward the truth that lies within. Music is a universal tool and outlet for creators and one of the most uplifting ways to reach individuals on a mass platform.
