Art Out & About

The First Friday Art Walk kicks off this month on September 7 with over 30 displays of unique handmade arts and crafts from local artists lining the streets of downtown Ocala.

This monthly event also includes live entertainment from a variety of groups or individuals performing throughout the evening. Let your inner artist emerge at any of the numerous family art-based activities on the lineup this season, and don’t forget to stop in at the local businesses, many of which will have extended shopping hours. Be sure to come hungry, as many of the downtown eateries and bistros will be serving up specially prepared food and drink selections throughout the night. Maps of the downtown square will be available, highlighting the featured artists each month as well as those showcasing their musical talents stationed along the route.
