Backpacks, Pencils & Notebooks, Oh My!

Yep, it’s hard to believe, but back-to-school season is just around the corner. Before you know it, the dog days of summer will slowly slip away to be replaced with structured school sessions and after-school activities. Get a jump start on the academic year by visiting one of two back-to-school bashes in the area. The City of Ocala will host its annual event at the E.D. Croskey Recreation Center on Saturday, July 28, 10am-2pm, offering free school physicals, immunizations, vision and hearing screenings, and backpacks brimming with supplies. If July is just too early to get back in school mode, Taylor College in Belleview will host its first annual event on August 4 from 11am-1pm. Attendees will be treated to fun, food and games and receive free school supplies.
