Laina Gosnell never minds a late-night knock on her door or early-morning phone call from a client. The resident manager of Superior Storage Solutions at Tuscan Oaks lives on-site with her husband and co-manager, Larry, for just that reason. Her job is to be available before and after business hours, accommodating customers and monitoring the facility at all times.
“The main reason is for the added security,” Laina says, “but it’s also more convenient for customers that can’t get here during business hours.”
“The facility has recorded video surveillance as well as the on-site managers for added security,” says Julie Smith, executive assistant to JR Randazzo. “We offer insurance for belongings if the client is interested and free pest control for every unit. We also accept packages for people who store with us, if they want to have deliveries made here.”
Opened in May 2007, the 344-unit storage facility in Sorrento was built and is owned by JR Randazzo of Randazzo Builders. It features rentable spaces ranging in size from 5 by 5 feet to 15 by 35 feet. Climate-controlled or non-climate-controlled, each unit is equipped with a heat-detection device that is monitored by the local fire department. With wide driveways throughout the facility, maneuverability is a breeze.
With the increasing need for self-storage, Superior Storage Solutions will be expanded in late 2009 with Phase II—an additional 50,000 square feet of rentable space.
Superior Storage Solutions can even take some of the stress out of moving thanks to its on-site U-Haul rental services.
“It’s a one-stop shop here,” Julie says. “You can rent your U-Haul and the boxes to pack everything up. You load your things, come back here, unload it at the facility, and drop the truck off.”
With its clean design and spacious layout, Superior Storage Solutions is hassle-free storage. The facility is particularly accommodating to owners of RVs, boats, and trailers. A separate, uncovered 20,000-square-foot space is ideal for large vehicles.
“If you live in a gated community that won’t allow you to park your extra vehicles there, you can park it here,” suggests Julie. “Our prices are very competitive, and we offer specials every month.”
Though problems rarely arise at the storage facility, when they do, Laina will be there to help. On a recent Sunday when a customer lost her keys on the property after hours, she knew just where to go.
“She knocked on my door and asked me if there was any way that we could help,” Laina recalls. “Of course, we did. That’s what we’re here for.”
