Continuing to Shine

CAMPUS USA Credit Union opened its doors as Gainesville Florida Campus Federal Credit Union in 1935. GFCFCU was the 171st credit union to receive a federal charter and the first to be on an American college campus. Our modest beginnings consisted of 25 members with $206 on deposit.

Even then, part of our mission statement was to empower members so that they may reach their full financial potential—and to provide world-class service. In 2001, CAMPUS USA Credit Union opened our first service center outside of Gainesville, on State Road 200 in Ocala. Marion County residents welcomed CAMPUS USA Credit Union with open arms, and our member satisfaction ratings have continued to thrive. The employees of CAMPUS take pride in the world-class service we provide for our members—it is the poignant difference that distinguishes us from other financial institutions.

We would like to thank all residents of Marion County for our continued success. As many financial institutions are closing their doors, you have helped us to continue to shine strong. Currently, we have three convenient Ocala service centers and one in Summerfield serving over 8,000 members in Marion County. We hope to continue to grow and look forward to many more years to come. Please stop by any of our Service Center locations and give us the opportunity to exceed your expectations. Together, we will continue to shine strong!
