Who doesn’t love chocolate cake? Many of you familiar with Matilda will remember a key scene in the story that involves a mean teacher, a hapless student, and a delicious, moist, glistening piece of chocolate cake. So we celebrated! With cake!
Ocala Style Magazine and the Ocala Civic Theatre served chocolate cake to dozens who attended the premiere of the musical on August 29. The amazing cake was baked by Chef Albert of Stella’s Modern Pantry and was a big hit.
Matilda is an amazing girl with mind powers and this story shows her journey to change her destiny. The musical is sure to delight everyone in the family. Shows are Wednesdays through Sundays; times vary.
