Ocala Boxing Academy Ribbon Cutting

Sharp “thwacks” in rapid cadence—the sound of a boxer working on a punching bag—rang through the training area of the Ocala Boxing Academy on Wednesday, February 26th, ahead of the ribbon cutting hosted by the Ocala/Marion County Chamber and Economic Partnership.

The academy, located at 1032 SW 1st Ave., was filled with well-wishers as well as members who were working out on a wide variety of pieces of equipment.

Owners Jose and Jessica Dos Santos, along with their son, Zayden, and Jose’s parents, Maria and Joe Dos Santos, welcomed everyone warmly and proudly showed off areas of the venue, including the boxing ring in the center of the training room.

The academy offers boxing, fitness and mixed martial arts programs for all ages. To learn more, visit ocalaboxingacademy.com or call (352) 300-8843.
