Screen Time

Minecraft, YouTube, SnapChat. No doubt your little ones are pretty well versed in how to navigate their way through your smartphone or iPad.

They may even have a device of their own. A new report has found that the amount of time children in the United States spend with mobile screens has tripled in just four short years. In 2013, children 8 and younger spent about 15 minutes a day on mobile devices, whereas now they spend 48 minutes a day, according to the report by Common Sense Media. And, chances are, many spend much more time than that. Don’t let the screens take over! Establish screen time rules when your children are young and encourage plenty of reading and outdoor play.
