A Blessing To Do Business With

For more than three decades, the Blessing family has been providing State Farm clients with the highest level of customer service available.

BART BLESSING: Ocala’s premier State Farm Agent

Chances are insurance and finances don’t rate high on your list of enjoyable topics… until now. Bart Blessing, who has been serving the Ocala area since 2002, prides himself on paying attention to the details.

“Many businesses have gotten away from customer service,” Bart says. “I find that when you do provide great service, people are often surprised by it. We do business the old fashioned way. Our clients aren’t just numbers—we know them by name. It’s the small things, like promptly returning phone calls, that our customers appreciate and remember.”

As a State Farm agent, Bart is excited to assist his clients with their insurance and financial service needs, from auto and life to retirement planning. He encourages everyone to have an Insurance and Financial Review (IFR) annually.

“The IFR is a review to let our clients know what’s covered, what’s not, and what their options are,” Bart says. “First and foremost, we are insurance and financial educators. We make sure our clients are educated and that the services they have are the ones that most fit their individual needs.”

Sydney and Debbie Caruthers of Caruthers Concrete are extremely satisfied with the service they get from the Bart Blessing agency. The Caruthers not only have their personal business with Bart, but also their commercial business, which includes insurance on a number of commercial vehicles and other machinery.

“We checked around with pricing,” Debbie says. “Bart was very competitive. On top of that, he’s a genuine person in what he does. It’s obvious he wants you to succeed.”

“We appreciate Bart’s dedication to his clients,” Debbie adds. “He’s not only very professional, but also very personable.”

What many people don’t know is that the Bart Blessing State Farm agency can offer clients much more than just insurance.

State Farm has continued to expand its product line as their customer needs have evolved.

“By offering financial services, it allows us to not only talk about the risks and what might happen, it also allows us to talk to our clients about their dreams and how they can reach their financial goals,” Bart says.

State Farm’s mission is to help people manage the risks of everyday life, recover from the unexpected, and realize their dreams.

Mary Cordell, co-owner of C-Land Manufacturing, utilizes Bart’s office for a variety of her accounts.

“I had a different agent who retired,” Mary says, “so I ended up with Bart’s agency. I’ve been very happy with him. They make it easy for me to do business.”

Bart considers himself honored not only to be a State Farm agent, but also to live in Ocala. He chose Ocala over Tampa and Orlando to open his agency because he knew Ocala was the better choice for his growing family. Bart is very involved in the community and active in his church. He also sponsors a variety of youth sports teams and athletic departments of local schools. It’s just some of the ways he gives back to the community that supports him.

“I believe in personal relationships, not 800 numbers and the Internet,” Bart says. “I also hire people who share the same core values I do. We work hard every day to make sure our customers get the quality service they deserve.”

Donald K. Usher, Jr. says, “You can tell when a business is concerned about you and not just your business.” After researching a list of insurance agents, Donald selected the Bart Blessing agency for a variety of reasons.

“I called and explained to each agent what I was looking for,” Donald says. “Carl Randall, an associate in Bart’s office, was fully prepared to answer not only my questions but also my lawyer’s questions.”

“One firm didn’t respond to my initial phone call until three weeks later,” he adds. “Bart’s agency was head and shoulders above everybody else. Because of the level of service, I realized that if I had a problem, it would get taken care of promptly and courteously. It was a slam dunk in my case.”

ONE OF BART’S GREATEST JOYS is when a client leaves his office empowered with knowledge.

“It’s a ‘wow’ experience for many of our clients,” Bart says. “People don’t normally think of talking about finances or insurance as a positive thing, but it can be. It’s great when a client says, ‘I learned a lot today and I want to thank you.’ That’s what this job is all about.”

As Ocala grows, so do area businesses. To continue to provide his clients with the best possible service, Bart built his current office building, located next to the McDonalds on Maricamp Road, three years ago. Despite the down-home ideals and atmosphere that you get at the Bart Blessing office, it’s important to note that when it comes to technology, State Farm is most certainly a cutting-edge company.

“We provide the latest technology for our clients, including 24/7 access to services,” Bart says. “But more importantly, we still prefer to meet with clients face-to-face to discuss life-impacting decisions.”
