Dining At Your Doorstep

Digital delivery is revolutionizing the way we shop… and the way we eat.

Bite Squad, founded in 2012, has recently expanded to Ocala. The company launched its Ocala service on June 28, with delivery being offered for more than 40 local restaurants. Bite Squad is a quickly growing company, continuing to serve with restaurant partners in over 30 cities in Florida alone. The delivery process works by allowing customers to purchase their favorite dishes from local restaurants and receive fast delivery through Bite Squad’s drivers. The company’s live app updates users by tracking their orders in real time and offering assistance through a live chat. Until September 28, Ocala residents can even waive the delivery fee attached by entering the code WELCOMEOCALA at checkout on their first order.

Although Bite Squad brings restaurant fare to your door, other providers make shopping convenient by shuttling groceries. With Instacart, for example, customers are able to shop from Publix, CVS Pharmacy, Petco and ABC Fine Wine & Spirits, with delivery promised in as little as an hour. Shipt also boasts same-day delivery from stores like Publix, Target, ABC Fine Wine & Spirits and Winn Dixie. Goulard’s Grocery Service, another on-demand delivery business, is family owned and operated, with hours Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. Employees will hand-pick your selected groceries from Publix, Wal-Mart or Winn Dixie and conveniently deliver them to your door.

Even sites like Amazon have begun including widgets that act as shortcuts so shoppers can reorder their frequently purchased items with the touch of a button. Available to Prime members, these features automatically ship products to your home.

Delivery services powered by apps and websites have brought ease of access to customers everywhere. Those who aren’t able-bodied or who may not have a mode of transportation can now shop quickly and effectively, without compromising quality, from their residence. Those with tight schedules can order on the go and be home in time to receive their order. With so many options available to shoppers, the future is at your doorstep.
