Slàinte

On September 11th,  the Ocala Police Department, Ocala Fire Rescue, and the City of Ocala unveiled the newest painted horse statue. Titled Slàinte, meaning “Cheers” in Irish, it reflects the sisterhood between Ocala and Newbridge, Ireland. Slàinte was created by artist Derek Gabriel Grimsley. You can see Ocala’s newest painted horse outside the Ocala First Responder’s Campus located at 340 NE 8th Ave., Ocala, FL 34471.
