Blockers may be a huge showroom today, but its beginnings were far more humble. In 1924, J.E. Blocker purchased an old department store and established the Blockers brand. Some twenty years later, J.E. and a partner purchased an old department store and set Blockers onto its current path. From the 60s to the late 80s, the store underwent a transition that shifted the focus from a warehouse-type store to a quality furniture store. Today, Blockers occupies the largest showroom in Ocala.
